La musica nel sangue. Alessandro e Domenico Scarlatti
by Macor Chiara , Parascandolo Emanuele , Imparato Chiara
Domenico Scarlatti, who has long been a musician at the Spanish court, has to deal with a real existential crisis and with the debts caused by the habit of gambling, which also put his marriage at risk. His colleague and friend Carlo Broschi, better known as Farinelli, ran to his aid, who, through a critical and light-hearted point of view, will lead Domenico to untie some key knots of his past and to tell of the difficult relationship with his father, the great Alessandro Scarlatti, a figure as influential as it was cumbersome to his life and career. The generational conflict between father and son tells, in fictional form, also of the transformation of musical language that took place between the end of the 1600s and the beginning of the 1800s.
