Mal di nebbia

by Gramantieri, Nicoletta
Mal di nebbia

It is a town full of wonders, mysteries, and whispers, the place where Albertina lives.
Legend has it that during World War I, twelve soldiers chose to throw themselves into the river rather than return to the front. Since then, at night, the ghosts of the drowned rise from the water, while a thick, wispy fog creeps through the houses, bringing death to children and terrorizing the villagers.
“Who is in the river? Who is there?” the village madman asks obsessively.
With the help of her friends Vero and Celso, a magical embroidery, and a group of partisans who never came down from the mountains, Albertina is determined to uncover the truth behind the ghostly mystery and free the town from the grip of fear and shame.
