Il silenzio degli invisibili

by De Angelis Giampietro
Il silenzio degli invisibili

The protagonist, with whom many of us can identify, is an ‘ex-boyfriend’ from 1960s Italy with a mild and introverted attitude, who has the feeling of being ‘invisible’ to the world. He is always on the move, in search of self-satisfaction and ‘spiritual feeling’. A novel where fiction and autobiography are mixed, in a fascinating and engaging style, where the right distance between the lived and the imagined is the style of uniqueness. Dealing with his own life in an intimist and existentialist text, the author pursues a narrative exploration based on memory and, at the same time, on a continuous search for meaning. Like all those who feel ‘invisible’ or, perhaps, choose to be. Like those who, in the space of a few decades, have seen epochal changes in the world around them.
