Wu Ming at the Internationales Literaturfestival in Berlin

On Monday 9 September 2024, at 8.30 pm, at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, Hinterbühne, Schaperstraße 24, 10719 Berlin-Wilmersdorf, Ufo 78, Wu Ming’s new novel, will be presented.

Ufo 78 mixes reality and fiction, pop culture and film history, while offering a fresh look at a key year in Italian history, in order to free it from the prison of the years of lead (Publisher: Assoziation A, translated into German by Klaus Peter-Arnold).

Wu Ming is a collective of Italian writers. He has written historical novels (54, Manituana, Altai, L’Armata dei Sonnambuli, Proletkultand Ufo 78), collections of short stories (Duck all’arancia meccanica and L’invisibile ovunque) and essays, as well as the children’s books of the Cantalamappa cycle (published by Electa). Each member of Wu Ming has also dedicated himself to ‘solo’ works. Over the years, a ‘constellation’ of projects has formed around the collective, a collective of collectives, the Wu Ming Foundation.
