Italy guest of honour at the International Book Fair in Thessaloniki

Italy will be the guest of honour at the 21st edition of the Thessaloniki International Book Fair, which will take place from 8 to 11 May 2025

The Italian authors invited are Beatrice Bandiera, Marta Barone, Roberto Camurri, Silvia Ferrara, Andrea Franzoso, Luigi Guarnieri, Antonio Manzini, Andrea Marcolongo, Melania Mazzucco, Matteo Nucci, Aurelio Picca, Marco Steiner, Matteo Strukul and Stefano Sturloni.

A special tribute will be paid to Andrea Camilleri, on the occasion of the centenary of his birth. An exhibition – promoted by the National Committee for the celebrations of the centenary of the birth of Andrea Camilleri, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Andrea Camilleri Fund – will highlight the life, works and legacy of the Sicilian writer through an educational journey made up of texts, images and quotes curated by Giovanni Capecchi.

Among the Italian exhibitors present are Il Castoro, Erickson, Giunti Editore, IT Publishing, Reggio Children and Tomolo EdiGio’ Edizioni; with the support of the Region of Puglia also Claudio Grenzi Editore, Les Flaneurs Edizioni, Kurumuny, Sfera Edizioni and Besa Muci. The following publishers will also be present in Thessaloniki as part of the Fellowship Program organised by the Fair: Agenzia Alferj, Camelozampa, Feltrinelli/Crocetti, Garzanti, Giulio Einaudi Editore, Ischirè and Mondadori Libri.
