Diario (tragicomico) di una mamma

There are endless ways to be women, and endless ways to be moms. Francesca, the main character and the narrator of this diary, is a modern mother, who maneuvers herself between an unsatisfactory job and the everyday adventures with Lucio, her newborn.

Every mother will know why the story of her days is tragicomic: there are multiform strollers, constant hunger, the baby’s bedroom to whitewash, the name to choose, the opinions – a little intrusive – by mothers, aunts and gramps; there are the other people’s judgement and the effort to find herself again after the childbirth, physically and mentally. But, even after all, Francesca has always the strenght to joke about it, to laugh at herself and at the everyday obstacles.

Not only she tells her world as a mom, but also her relationship with Davide, her husband, and the universe of baby Lucio, made of games and first words.

Around the everyday struggles, revolves also the friendship with Mary, a woman completely different from Francesca, yet sympathetic and always ready to inspire new points of view on things. And then René, Sophia’s father, who together with his mate contributes to make the kindergarten an open place for all families, of every kind and from every part of the world.
