Il segreto del naso di Rioba

by De Marchi, Vichi
Il segreto del naso di Rioba

Venice, January 1945. Emma works as an apprentice at Sior Bepi’s bakery. Despite the anxiety caused by the presence of German soldiers in the streets, she enjoys her work—the delivery rounds, the smell of fresh bread, and Elio’s company. However, lately, the people around her seem to be keeping too many secrets. What is in the red notebook her brother asks her to hide under the statue of Sior Rioba in Campo dei Mori? Who is the student with the dictionary, Elio’s mysterious friend? And why does Venice one day wake up all painted in red?
A fresh coming-of-age novel, inspired by historical events.
