Stockholm: Ilaria Gaspari presents A woman by Sibilla Aleramo

On Thursday 10 April at 6 p.m. at the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm, an evening dedicated to the writer Sibilla Aleramo (1876-1960) will be held to mark the release of the new Swedish edition of her book Una donna (A Woman) for Lind&Co, translated by Monica Vessberg with an afterword by Annina Rabe. With the participation of Ilaria Gaspari and Lou Mattei, writer, translator and founder of the LGBT+ bookshop, will be speaking.

Una donna (A Woman) is Sibilla Aleramo’s debut book, an autobiographical novel about a woman searching for freedom in a patriarchal world. Published in 1906, it is considered one of the first Italian feminist novels.
