L’esercito dei soli

by Capovani Majid
L’esercito dei soli

Romeo, a weak eighteen disappointed by society and his affection, while he is chatting he is ingenuously snared by a group of Islamic extremists. In a may night he will set off to Sinai Peninsula impulsively for reaching a training camp. Recruited with the name of Majid Al’itali he will understand soon that the camp is an hell. A glimmer of hope will come together some prisoners when he will meet a very young woman reporter kidnapped and detained together with other journalists. From this moment, helped by his big friend and comrade in arms, Majid will do his best to save the girl’s innocence from the atrocities of imprisonment. In a chilling context where terror, pain and guilt prevail, where rare moments of beauty alternate with death instincts, a light will slowly come on that will push Majid to fight.A tough story, like all war stories, but also of love and resistance, which tells the life of a city controlled by the Caliphate through the eyes of a ‘failed jihadist’ and a hostage who dreams of freedom. A story capable of telling an insight into foreign fighters, underlining how the lack of values at home can generate extreme choices and push people to leave their country to fight a foreign and foreign war.
