Confessioni di un misantropo

by Pozzani Claudio
Confessioni di un misantropo

At the age of 103, Athos Rossini, former poet, journalist, terrorist and life prisoner, member of the Quadrumvirate which for almost a decade governed a ‘dictatorship of creatives’ at the turn of 2030, retraces his human, artistic and political course during a long interview in a television talk show. He defends his revolution based on the relaunch of culture, art and research, on the overcoming of work through automation, the nationalization of banks and finance but also on the physical elimination of internal opponents. After the broadcast, Athos decides to publish a memorial full of shocking revelations about the current political and economic leaders, triggering an earthquake that throws the country into the anarchy of a civil war. With a sparkling and lively style, Pozzani creates an incendiary character, who between the pages of this novel sets democratic values on fire, destroying the politically correct with a corrosive and overwhelming sarcasm.
