Adolfo Maggi Maestrini, a young physicist, goes to the United States to attend some conferences. After an adventurous trip by sea with a friend from university, in New York he meets Rose, whose job is to be his guide durng his american tour. The two fall in love and Adolfo comes to terms with his difficult relation with the other sex, which troubles him since his teenage. In the Big Apple Adolfo discovers topless bars. He is so fascinated by them that he decides to stop being a physicist and open the first topless bar in Little Italy with the help of Rose, now his wife, and Don Genesio, a mafia boss.
