The daily life of a small community has to deal with the Second World War which is sometimes so close and sometimes seems so far away. Pietro is a young man with a restless soul, who seeks in patience and determination a way to find his place in the world. In large strides, however, war will occupy almost every moment of the day. In a slow but steady crescendo, all emotions will be amplified and distorted in a whirlwind of needs, fears and hopes. If death seems to have the upper hand, life doesn\’t stop anyway. Everyone will be involved.
