Il jazzista
by Tranchini Salvatore
Communication is strained. Teacher and pupil sparkle. The subject of contention is Jazz. Impregnable, ineffable, a certain defeat from which one draws a challenge with oneself as the only victory. A mystical triangle appears on the horizon: Parker, Coltrane, Davis, the prophet, the seer, the divine in random and interchangeable order. But only one thing is certain. A pause will be heard between each sound. Hold her close. Silence is a necessary space for existence.
