Uno squillo per Joséphine
by Esposito Amato Emanuela
Joséphine Bressi, an antiques expert with an innate talent for preparing macarons and other sweets, is experiencing a period of crisis with her husband Massimiliano Martinelli, a successful architect, as she is unable to get pregnant despite undergoing invasive treatments and scheduled intercourse. The couple’s crisis deepens due to the interference of the mother-in-law Amalia, who has always been hostile to their marriage, and is intertwined with the events of Roberto Russo, an escort with a passion for photography; by Shanna Marly, author of erotic best sellers; of Domitilla, colleague and best friend, in crisis for a relationship born on social media. Against the backdrop of a ‘good’ Naples, where each character has a secret to hide and those who hate each other know how to smile cordially, between machinations and unmistakable coincidences, Joséphine therefore fights to save her marriage, while Roberto and Domitilla, for their part , are called to come to terms with their own traumas. Prefation by Annella Prisco.
