Vergari Luana, Filippini Francesco
Luana Vergari is a scriptwriter of books, comics and animations for children. Born in Rome, she lives in Lille, France, where in 2014 she was awarded “Le Label européen des langues” with her children’s book Les langues de chat. In 2017 she founded the Associazione Radiolem, a place for research, creation and play focused on children’s books and on the use of new technologies. With the Taiwanese company Keitai she worked on the creation of the Super Minou webtoon series dedicated to children.
Francesco Filippini (born in Naples in 1993) directed his first animated short film, Orkiestra, in 2009 with which he gained a nomination at the David di Donatello award. In 2015 he moved to New York working at Bill Plympton’s animation studio as Art Director for two feature films and a short film, The Loneliest Stoplight, which won him the Society of Illustrator Gold Medal.In 2016 he returned to collaborate with the studio MAD Entertainment in Naples where he wrote, drew and directed the animated short film Simposio Suino in re minore, which was also nominated for the David di Donatello award.
