100 Storie d’amore

100 Storie d’amore

We teach our children to read and do math. We teach them the spelling of difficult words and that one and one is two: it’s elementary! But how can we teach them that in love one plus one always makes a different kind of two? The answer came natural to us. By telling them stories of many different “one and one”. A hundred stories, a hundred journeys, a hundred couples, both fictional and historical – from Adam and Eve to Barack Obama and Michelle Robinson, from Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir to John Lennon and Yoko Ono and back to Ramses II and Nefertari. Each one a unique kind of love – passionate, legendary, outside the law, against the grain, prosaic and poetic, royal and regal. Loves for life, loves unto death, love stories that end in “happily ever after”, in “I’ll think about it tomorrow” or in the beginning of yet another love story. Cynics may think love doesn’t exist, but we do, and we recreate love every single day.
