Chico Mendes, difensore dell’Amazzonia

by Morosinotto Davide
Chico Mendes, difensore dell’Amazzonia

The Amazon Rainforest, the green lung of the planet, is threatened by powerful, greedy and unscrupulous men, who do not hesitate to destroy it to gain profit. And to trample on those who live thanks to the fruits of the forest, in the deepest respect for the balance of nature. Like the family of Zuza, a very young rubber collector. But there was a man who, after growing up there in conditions of semi-slavery, learned to read, and then became a syndicalist. Indeed, a real fighter, determined to defend his people and his forest, at any cost. His name was Chico Mendes. And this is his story, told by Davide Morosinotto.
